The Frye
I am beyond thrilled to announce that I have a piece entitled “Proximity to Water” up in The Alcove at one of Seattle’s finest museums, The Frye. The Alcove is a wall in the very well-curated gift shop, above the jewelry case. This is an exciting opportunity to have my work on display in a museum!! The opening event celebrates the artwork of Jessica Jackson Hutchins, Sky Hopinka, and me ;). I am so grateful to Rachael and The Frye Museum for having my work up for the next three months.
The opening event is this Friday 2/16 from 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm and is open to the public and free with an RSVP - https://fryemuseum.org/ticket-registration/3255
I would love to see my friends and family in Seattle there!!
Base Camp
I’m also excited to announce that I’ll be in a three-person art show opening in April at BaseCamp Studios. This will feature some of the work I made during the Bloedel Community Creative residency. This is still in the works, so I’ll share more soon!
Indigo Slate
Another cool show in the works is at the design firm Indigo Slate’s gallery space in Pioneer Square. This will also be a three-person show with my good friends Jarita Hui and Taylor Pelella. You may remember this dynamic triad from last year’s Industrial Oasis at the Woodland Theater and the abridged version at Paper Portal Books. It’s a joy working together and I’m excited to see what we all make for our show in June entitled Submerge. I’ll be sure to share some in-progress work and more info on events connected to the exhibition.
This year holds some very cool opportunities for me to share my work, be in shows with my friends, and spend my time being creative. I am endlessly grateful for the support I get from my friends, family, and the Seattle art community. I’ll keep showing up and my foot on the gas!
Wow! You certainly do have exciting things coming up. We are both happy for you and proud of you.
All our love, Grandma and Grampsy
